Distal Radius Fracture Repair

Overview
The radius is the larger of the two bones that make up the forearm, and distal radius refers to the area of that bone closest to the wrist.  A distal radius fracture is a very common injury in the athletic population.  In most situations the injury can be healed with the proper bracing or cast, but if the bone has been misaligned significantly enough, then surgery may be required in order to get the distal radius working properly again.
