The upper arm is the region of the body located between the elbow and shoulder joint.  This region of the body is comprised of one long bone, the humerus, as well as numerous muscles, tendons, and ligaments.  These components of the upper arm work in conjunction with the shoulder to allow for a wide range of movement in the arm.  It is important to have a thorough understanding of the different components that help make up the upper arm to help better understand complications or injuries to this area when they happen to occur.
