The neck is the portion of the body that helps separate the head from the rest of the body.  The neck is made up of multiple muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, and blood vessels.  It also serves as the home of the cervical spine, and plays a vital role in protecting these vertebrae that help make up this portion of the spine.  This is a complex region of the body and it is important to have a proper understanding of the neck and how it functions to help eliminate injuries from occuring or to properly diagnose an injury if it does occur.
